Back in 1983, Ronald Reagan was in the White House, the Dolphins were heading to the Super Bowl, and Rosco Sr. bought a used work van, loaded it with tools, and started fixing pipes in Bradenton. He didn't have a website or a marketing plan. He had a handshake and a promise: do it right, charge fair, and show up when you say you will.
That van has been replaced a few times since, but the promise hasn't. Rosco Sr.'s son learned the trade alongside him — crawling under houses before he could drive. And now Ross, the third generation, runs the show. Same values. Same phone number. Same family answering the call when your kitchen is flooding at midnight.

Established
The same year Sally Ride went to space and Return of the Jedi hit theaters. Rosco Sr. made his own bold move — starting a plumbing company with nothing but skill and integrity.
Did You Know?
The average Florida home has over 300 feet of plumbing pipe behind its walls and under its foundation. In Bradenton's humid subtropical climate, that pipe endures more stress from mineral-rich hard water and temperature swings than homes in most other states.
Trusted by Bradenton's 55+ Communities
We're the plumber your neighbors recommend. From gated communities to waterfront condos, we know the homes, the HOA rules, and the plumbing systems in your neighborhood.
Serving All of Manatee County
From the beaches of Anna Maria Island to the new developments in Parrish, Rosco Plumbing covers every corner of Manatee County.
We Know Bradenton Plumbing
After 40+ years fixing pipes in this town, we've learned a thing or two about what Bradenton homes need. The hard water from Manatee County's supply system is some of the hardest in Florida — 15 to 20 grains per gallon. That means mineral buildup in your pipes, your water heater, and your fixtures.
If your home was built before 1995, there's a good chance it has polybutylene pipes — a material that was popular in the '80s and '90s but is now known to deteriorate and fail. We've repiped hundreds of Bradenton homes and we can tell you honestly whether yours needs it or not.
And then there's hurricane season. Every year from June to November, our phones ring with storm-related plumbing emergencies. We've been through every major storm since '83 and we know how to prepare your home and respond when the water starts rising.

Plumbing Trivia from Your Friends at Rosco
A few things you probably didn't know about the pipes in your walls.
Did You Know?
The word "plumber" comes from the Latin word "plumbum," meaning lead — which is what ancient Roman pipes were made of.
Did You Know?
A dripping faucet that leaks one drop per second wastes over 3,000 gallons of water per year. That's enough to fill a swimming pool.
Did You Know?
The average American household uses about 300 gallons of water per day. The toilet alone accounts for nearly 27% of indoor water use.
Did You Know?
Albert Einstein was once made an honorary member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union. He said if he had to do it over, he'd be a plumber.
Did You Know?
Standardized plumbing didn't exist in the U.S. until after World War I. Before that, every city had its own pipe sizes and fittings.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions from Bradenton homeowners. Can't find your answer? See all FAQs or call us directly.
- How much does a plumber charge in Bradenton, FL?
- A standard service call in Bradenton typically ranges from $75 to $150, depending on the time of day and type of issue. Specific repairs like faucet replacement run $150–$350, while drain cleaning starts around $100–$250. Rosco Plumbing always provides a free, upfront estimate before any work begins — no surprises on your bill.
- Do you work in 55+ communities and gated neighborhoods?
- Absolutely. We're the preferred plumber for several 55+ communities across Bradenton and Lakewood Ranch, including Del Webb, Heritage Harbour, Cresswind, and more. We're familiar with the HOA requirements, gate access procedures, and common plumbing configurations in these communities. Many of our maintenance plan members live in 55+ neighborhoods.
- Do you offer 24/7 emergency plumbing in Bradenton?
- Yes. Rosco Plumbing provides 24-hour emergency plumbing service throughout Bradenton, Palmetto, Lakewood Ranch, and all of Manatee County. Call (941) 345-2464 any time — day or night, weekends and holidays included.
- How long has Rosco Plumbing been in business?
- Rosco Plumbing was established in 1983, making us one of the longest-running family-owned plumbing companies in Bradenton. Three generations of Roscos have served this community for over 40 years. Rosco Sr. started the business, his son grew it, and now Ross continues the family tradition.
- What areas does Rosco Plumbing serve?
- We serve Bradenton, Palmetto, Lakewood Ranch, Ellenton, Parrish, Anna Maria Island, Longboat Key, and the greater Manatee County area. We also service homes in north Sarasota County near University Park and the Ringling area.
- Is Bradenton water hard? Do I need a water softener?
- Yes. Bradenton and Manatee County water is notably hard, typically measuring 15–20 grains per gallon. Hard water causes mineral buildup in pipes, water heaters, and fixtures, reducing their lifespan and efficiency. A water softener is one of the best investments for protecting your home's plumbing. We install and service all major brands.
- How do I prepare my plumbing for hurricane season?
- Living in Bradenton means hurricane preparedness is essential. Before storm season (June through November), you should: know where your main water shutoff valve is, clear debris from outdoor drains, consider a battery backup for your sump pump, and have Rosco Plumbing inspect your plumbing for any vulnerabilities. After a storm, don't use your plumbing until you've checked for damage.
- Do you offer plumbing maintenance plans?
- Yes. Our annual maintenance plan includes a comprehensive plumbing inspection, water heater flush, pressure testing, and leak check. It's especially popular with homeowners in 55+ communities who want to catch small problems before they become expensive emergencies. Maintenance plan members also receive priority scheduling and a 10% discount on repairs.
- My home was built in the 1980s. Should I be worried about my pipes?
- Homes built in the 1980s in Bradenton may have polybutylene (poly-b) pipes, which are known to fail and have been the subject of class-action lawsuits. If your home has gray, flexible plastic pipes, we strongly recommend a free inspection. We've repiped hundreds of Bradenton homes, replacing poly-b with modern PEX piping that's backed by a 25-year warranty.
- What's that rotten egg smell coming from my water?
- That sulfur smell is common in Bradenton and is usually caused by hydrogen sulfide gas in the water supply or a depleted anode rod in your water heater. If the smell is only in hot water, replacing the anode rod typically solves it. If it's in all water, a water filtration system may be needed. Either way, it's not dangerous but it's not something you should ignore — call us for a free diagnosis.
